The Reusable Desiccant Kit contains four rechargable desiccant cartridges, each in a rigid metal container. These desiccant packs can be reactivated by baking them in an oven at 250°C for 8 hours and then cooling them in a dry atmosphere. For optimal results, re-activate the packets immediately before re-use. Compatible with the Spectrum 65/100/100N/400/ and Spectrum 3/Frontier spectrometers. Qty. 4

FT-IR spectrometers require desiccant kits to keep their optical paths moisture-free. PerkinElmer recommends that your instrument's desiccant be replaced every six months. Your spectrometer's manual has instructions on how to install the desiccant. Depending on the spectrometer, you will need two to three desiccant kits every six months.
