The MaxSignal® Zearalenone ELISA Kit is a competitive ELISA for the quantitative analysis of zearalenone in a variety of sample types. Zearalenone (also know as ZEA or ZON) is a toxin produced by fungi of the genus Fusarium. It is found worldwide in a number of cereal crops such as maize, barley, oats, wheat, rice and sorghum. Zearalenone is a phytohormone which displays, apart from its anabolic properties, mainly estrogenic effects. Because of its estrogenic properties, zearalenone may induce fertility disorders in animals.
Two versions of MaxSignal Zearalenone ELISA Kit are available; Cat # 1035-01, providing the highest sensitivity, and Cat # 1035-03, providing a unique, rapid protocol.
This kit is manufactured to the international quality standard ISO 9001.
