Polarizer for 80Spec - KRS-5

This Polarizer is an optional part for the 80Spec™ Specular Reflectance accessory. It is a manual polarizer with a thallium bromoiodide (KRS-5) element. The element is 2 mm in diameter and has a 20 mm clear aperture. It is mounted on a standard slide mount and is compatible with Spectrum Two spectrometers. Polarizers are ideal for measuring sample orientation and thin films and have near-, mid-, and far-infrared applications.

The PIKE 80Spec™ (L1272248) is a grazing angle specular reflection accessory that measures thin films and monolayers. Features include:

  • A fixed 80° angle of incidence
  • Polarizer mounts for optional IR polarizers (L1272376, L1272243)
  • Gold-coated reflective optics for highest energy throughput
  • It is compatible with Spectrum One/100/400/65, Spectrum Two, and Spectrum 3/Frontier spectrometers.
