When samples are oriented and polarize incident light, it is important to correct for the inherent polarizing effect of the spectrometer’s optics by using a depolarizer. Another important application is to make measurements using a specific orientation of incident radiation e.g. for crystalline materials and polymers.

The Transfer Optic Accessory is a monofibers holder for the LAMBDA 20/40/20Bio/40Bio/25/35/45 spectrometers. This accessory accommodates a pair of monofibers, either 2- or 10-meters long. Other optrodes are available upon request.
The Short Focal Length Mirror Kit consists of a short focal length (20-30 mm) concave mirror on an adjustable base with magnetic mounts to allow for small spot incidence of curved samples.
This Fiber Optic Probe Tip is used with Fiber Optic Dip Probe (N1016070). It has a 5 mm path length. This tip must be ordered separately.
This Fiber Optic Probe Tip is used with Fiber Optic Dip Probe (N1016070). It has a 2 mm path length. This tip must be ordered separately.
The Double Polarizer Drive is installed inside the primary sample compartment of high-performance LAMBDAs, i.e., the 650/750/850/850/950/1050/1050+ spectrometers. Its orientation can be fully automated, allowing scans at a fixed wavelength or in a stepped mode. It has a scanning resolution of 25°. When in stepping mode, the polarization (depolarization) orientation can be changed up to 20 wavelength positions.
The Glan-Taylor Polarizer Crystal is a mounted 15 mm UV/VIS polarizer crystal for use with the Double Polarizer Drive (B0505530). It has a wavelength range of 300 to 2600 nm. To ensure an equal energy level in the sample and reference beams, a second polarizer (B0505530 or B0501282) is necessary.
The Light Shield is one of the required components of the Fiber Optic Dip Probe Kit (N1016070), but it must be ordered separately.
The Film Polarizer Element works with the Double Polarizer Drive (B0505530). This high performance film polarizer has a wavelength range of 400-700 nm. Other wavelength ranges are available upon request.
The Fiber Optic Dip Probe is a 15 mm, 316-grade stainless steel probe with a wavelength of 200 to 1100 nm. Probe tips must be ordered separately.
The Depolarizer Crystal works with the Double Polarizer Drive (B0505530) to optain depolarized light measurements from within the sample compartment of LAMBDA spectrometers. It has a wavelength range of 190-2600 nm and an efficiency rating of 98%. This crystal can be rotated up to 20 wavelength points to get a wavelength independent depolarization.
